catheterization in the nursing home
Often I’ll catch in div. Care forums the theme of the catheterization on: a an elderly care nurse in a care facility to insert a catheter ?
In principle, nothing against the catheter is no objection of a geriatric care specialist. After all, was / is this topic in the training to become a nurse. However, you must meet the following requirements:
- Permission of the client
- Permission of the physician / Urologens / gynecologist
- The staff feels able to
Increasingly there is, however, (to follow after own observations) that free (and specially trained) employees of various catheter manufacturers to visit the facilities, and the catheterization(s) in the order of a physician.
On the other hand, this is done by the Uro – gynecologist.
