unconditional basic income (UBI)

An idea, which is obviously not from me, but from me as Interesting is found. How would it be if every citizen in the Federal Republic of Germany, a defined contribution of monthly basic income? Like everything else, would also have this financial model has a lot of advantages and disadvantages.

Every citizen would receive the same monthly income, so no more would have to be to Work convinced. Each resident would be provided with its Opposite – unless you want to afford a higher standard of living, this would mean more physical effort and, above all, more money. Hazard or blessing? We are just a “someone”, when we go out to work? According to various statistics, each 3 suffer. under poor working conditions. A survey of the CDU showed that 99% of all respondents would go to work in spite of a basic income. Sure there would be others who would not move to work. In Germany, annually 56 billion in work are paid hours. The sounds, however, about 96 billion hours are not paid, what to budget, support and care of other people. This includes that 43% of the German volunteer operate, without demanding a salary for it. This means that there are people who are unconditionally willing to help other people. This would be an extremely important point in order to continue a social life.

The best example of voluntary work (which can give many people a lot of fun and joy) shows the free encyclopedia “Wikipedia”. Here, everyone can, wants to, and demanded to Know technical contributions in the Community and therefore all people (freely-accessible) to contribute.

In the Declaration of human rights written in article 22:

Each has as a member of society, has the right to social security and is entitled to realization, through national effort and international cooperation and in accordance with the organization and resources of each state, of the economic, social and cultural rights, for his Dignity and the free development of his personality are indispensable. This is guaranteed in our society?

But, if it should come to the specified basic income, who would then make the “dirty work” and waste water channels etc. to wait and take care of. We would have to force people to do this? What is the monthly amount would be for such a financial model is needed, so you can afford to pay for, among other things, the rent and basic food? 400 – EUR 900 would be sufficient, and for the state at all portable?

What do you think?
