LPNs/LVNs being phased out of hospital nursing is nothing new! But because of things like IV meds, PICCs, advanced airways, etc., etc., etc., you just wont see LPNs/LVNs in Acute Care, Perioperative Nursing, most areas of L&D, Critical Care units, Hospice and so on.
