There is a layer in the Stonehenge soil called the Bluestone layer, or sometimes the Roman layer. In it is found detritus from the Roman era (coins, brooches etc) and LOTS of small bluestone chips. These small chips are spread fairly evenly across the whole of the central area of the monument.
